Affirming Therapy for the Transgender, Gender Expansive, & LGBQ+ Communities
Although I see people from all walks of life, I specialize in work with individuals who identify as Transgender, Gender Diverse, and LGBQ+.
What does it mean to be an affirming therapist? It means that I view you, the client, as the expert on your own life. Instead of trying to change you or have you "prove" your self view, I trust in your lived experiences and act as a supportive resource and ally as you explore gender, sexuality, relationships, and more. I feel honored to bear witness to the stories that people carry with them, stories that may have felt difficult to share or seek help with due to fear of rejection, judgment, or discrimination; responses that you won't have to experience in my office. My psychology background was focused in LGBT Studies and Child & Family Development and I have professional experience working with adolescents and adults across the gender spectrum navigating their individual, relational, and societal lives.
If you or someone you know are in need of a Transgender & LGBQ+ Affirming Therapist, I represent a safe space for you to seek counseling in. I provide therapy services for individuals, relationships, and families in need. If you are looking for support and guidance through your identity journey or just seeking an accepting person to talk through life’s challenges with, I welcome you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to know more and I would be more than happy to speak with you!
